Everything about visiting the sauna
Before the sauna
Reservation
Reserve the sauna online and select your preferred date and time. We recommend planning at least two hours for a relaxing sauna experience. You will receive your access code via email before your booking begins. Your confirmation email also contains a link to the booking calendar so you can check if anyone has booked before you. If no one has booked before you, you will need to light the fire yourself. Fill the stove with logs right from the start. This way, it will take about 45 minutes until it's hot enough. You are welcome to arrive 45-60 minutes before your appointment and light the fire. This time will not be charged. Empty the ash pan under the fire pit before lighting it for the first time! The ash bucket is outside.
Bring along
Don't forget to bring two towels, swimwear, flip-flops, and drinks. Please arrive already showered.
Location information
The keys are in the key box next to the sauna entrance (code in the confirmation email). Public restrooms are available at the waterfront park.
During the sauna
Changing room
You can change and store your personal belongings in the sauna vestibule. Important: Do not leave anything lying around in the sauna while using it (no plastic items).
Temperature
Our sauna is heated by a wood-burning stove and maintains a constant temperature between 80 and 90 degrees Celsius. You can regulate the humidity yourself by pouring water onto the sauna stones. Please remember to always place a cloth underneath to protect the wood from sweat. Important: Close the stove door.
Infusion water
You can take the water for the sauna infusions directly from the Aare River. Please ensure that there are no natural materials such as leaves or wood in the water. We thank you for refilling the infusion bucket for the next guests. Important: Leave the infusion bucket on the ground and do not place it next to the stove.
After the sauna
Cooling-off
After your sauna session, you have several cooling-off options available. Cooling off in the Aare River is at your own risk! CAUTION: The entry into the Aare is very slippery! Alternatively, you can relax and cool off in the fresh air in front of the sauna.
Clean up
Your help in keeping the sauna clean is greatly appreciated. Please clean the floor with the provided mop, take all waste with you, and empty the foot bath. Please lock the door after your stay and place the key in the designated key box. Please also lock the door afterward.
Hygiene
Cleanliness is very important to us, so we regularly and thoroughly clean the sauna. Should you notice that an extraordinary cleaning is necessary, please inform us immediately.
